Your Race as of R aft.

BASED UPON CURRENT FORECASTS (low -1 to -4 and high of about 12-15f) THE RECOMMENDATIONS ARE:

updates will be made as appropriate

GLIDE: Start Green applied properly and then buffed with pantyhose or Swix CH4 mixed 70/30 with LF6. The earlier you start the more you should lean on the CH4 side.

KICK: Now this should be fun. The track will be a mix of new and older tilled snow with ice balls etc.... Measure your kick zone and then calculate 70% of the zone. Remove 15% on each far end and put Toko Binder on ironed in. In the middle 70% under the foot place Rex PowerGrip Blue on thinly. You iron in both the binder and the powergrip seperately and with a clean kick iron, cleaned between the two apps. Place ski outside to cool. Then place 1 layer of Rode Multigrade Violet over the chilled wax. Thereafter cover with 3-5 layers of thin VR40 from Swix. This is a best guess currently and could change based upon conditions at the venue. Good luck on your mathematics.

PRE RACE PREPARATION

GLIDE: WAX TWO COATS OF START GREEN USING APPROPRIATE PROCESS OF 3 MIN PER SKI PRIOR TO SCRAPING - THIS WILL SERVE AS A GOOD BASE FOR THE RACE WAX WHICH IS PENDING

KICK: PRE CLEAN YOUR KICK ZONE SUCH THAT YOU DONT HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH WAX REMOVER STILL BEING ON YOUR SKIS DURING APPLICATION. SAND WITH 120 GRIT PAPER AFTER BEING CLEANED AND THEN FIBERTEX.

For Here Today:

Kick: Rex Power Grip Blue

Glide: Toko Blue

M

Reports from The Vasa were very favorable yesterday on the kick and the combo seemed to wear in well for the changing trail and temps.

Today:

Kick: Rex Violet Powergrip 4 - dab on like klister in 30 deg offset globs and then iron in. No cover needed this should flex around the freezing point a few degrees and work ice to slight slush

Glide: Toko Yellow with Blue old swix Moly Speedpowder (you know the one with the "skater" on it)

Or use waxless skis today on the flexing and avoid the transition area

The range of temps will be pretty drastic tomorrow but both waxes flex reasonably well for this. They arent the fastest but they have the range.
