Friday

Okay so the posts have been lacking...

Kick: Swix Universal Klister before 9.30am, Swix Red Klister after

Glide: CH 8 before 9.30, CH 10 After

Also the best skiing is in the morning in the afternoon you wont move and will just divot the trail for the next morning so set your alarm. Classical is okay later but skating after the thaw each day just wont work well...

Lotvola Cup

Retro Post:

Today with regroomed icy fast tracks, followed by 2 inches of snow which started 2 hours before the race the test team choose to use Rex Blue Power grip ironed in thin, cooled and then slightly warmed to apply a thin layer of Swix Extra Blue. THe skis were fast and kick was generally good. Glide was on LF6 and was easy and fast. Firm tracks under new snow is always a gamble as to do you run something for firm icy track or the new snow or both. Some had just VR40/45 and mostly had good kick but the powergrip added that little bit extra and had smooth glide.

Saturday

Kick: The test team found that Toko Green Binder ironed in and covered with a few layers of Start Tar Five worked very well. The tracks are reconstituted snow so you have to wax higher in the line but be wary of wear.

Glide: Pretty simple and fast Swix CH6 works but Toko LF Moly mixed with Start Green is better.
